Request for Serigraph, seeking artists' to Festival Del Cuatro

The Festival Del Cuatro organization www.festivaldelcuatro.org is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination of our musical cultural heritage using the Puerto Rican Cuatro as the delivery vehicle. Our next annual Festival will be held on September 1st, 2007 at the San Gabriel Civic Center www.sgcivic.org . The theme of this year’s Puerto Rican Cuatro Festival is "The Masters of the Cuatro/ Los Maestros del Cuatro." We are seeking artists’ submissions for an exciting opportunity to showcase your talents and skills, share your culture, and make a difference in the Puerto Rican community. Your artwork may be selected to represent our theme at the next festival. Last year’s attendance at this festival was higher than expected. We had over 600 people attend and expect greater than 1000 for the 2007 event. We would be honored to have you submit your artistic rendition using this year’s theme for our next festival.
Once you have completed your artwork, email us to obtain a delivery address for shipment of your artwork. The artwork submitted should be done in no smaller than an 8 X 11 size format and submitted directly to our organization. The end of this solicitation is January 31st, 2007. Once the artwork is selected, we would then work directly with the artist to make the Serigraph. One hundred(100) individually numbered and limited edition Serigraphs will be purchased from the artist for use in our 2nd Annual Puerto Rican Cuatro Festival in California. See the picture attached to get an idea of serigraphs done in Puerto Rico. This invitation is open to any and all artists that this communication reaches.
Your artwork fee would be negotiated upon approval of artwork. We can discuss arrangements for doing so when you contact us. Selection of your artwork gives us the right to print it, use it for promotion, distribution, engagements, fundraising, etc.
Our organization’s website is presently under construction, but you can still contact us via the site. Please contact us by January 31st to submit your artwork for consideration. We look forward to hearing from you.
